ABOUT
Investment Objective
The Ci SA Cautious Fund is an actively managed institutional multi-asset low equity portfolio. The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide investors with income and conservative capital growth while maintaining a strong focus on capital preservation. This will be done by investing in a spread of domestic equity securities, non-equity securities, money market, property and listed and unlisted financial instruments The portfolio maintains a cautious risk profile and the portfolio will comply with prudential investment guidelines to the extent allowed by the Act. The Fund may from time to time invest in listed and unlisted derivatives, in order to achieve the portfolio's investment objective. The Ci SA Cautious Fund aims to achieve its investment objective through diversifying across all South African asset classes and a maximum equity exposure of 40% and by actively managing the domestic asset allocation in the portfolio and shifting the assets between domestic asset classes to reflect changing economic and market conditions.
Characteristics
This is a multi-asset low equity portfolio which means that it may invest in a spectrum of investments in the equity, bond, money, or property markets. This portfolio tends to display reduced short term volatility, aims for long term capital growth and can have a maximum effective equity exposure (including international equity) of 40% and a maximum effective property exposure (including international property) of 25% of the market value of the portfolio at all times.

Management Company
The portfolios are hosted and administered by Ci Collective Investments (RF) (Pty) Ltd ("Ci"). Ci is owned by a number of like-minded boutique multi-managers and managed by a team of experts, each with significant experience in the collective investments industry. Ci is approved by the FSCA as a manager in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act.
